ReplyDeleteI would love to buy the Cosmos Suite Panel and use it with the Kona Solid Buttercup. Probbly alternating blocks of those giant flowers anjd the solid yellow. Probably I would applique on the yellow blocks but maybe just machine quilt or Sashiko. Yes, definitely Sashiko with brown Valdani or perle cotton. Then I would have to find a Kona milk chocolate or something for accents here and there, possibly for applique on the alternating solid yellow blocks. Maybe a flange or a border--depends on the scale needed to make the quilt look right--around the big ideas of the blocks in the center. I would bind it with The Sweetest Thing Dots in Yellow.

ReplyDeleteI love the Bella line from Lotta Jansdotter. I am also anxiously awaiting the Constellations - Charts in Black. I have a HUGE collection of baby/toddler girl clothes patterns to delve into. I think that a twirly skirt, peasant dress, A-line dress, and ruffle pants are in order. For ME, a narrow quilt for my computer chair is a must-make.

ReplyDeleteActually, what I love is the Joel Dewberry you are offering today--because it has the same colors I'm using in the sofa quilt that's in the planning stages (and could use some fabric supplementation since I've purchased only four or five fabrics so far).

ReplyDeleteSo hard to just have one favorite. I'm loving Simply Color, Cuzco and of course Knotting Hill. I think any one of these lines would look great with the Swoon pattern. I really want to make that quilt!

I'm lusting after Olive the Ostrich - I'd make a little girls dress, purse and sunhat (for a great niece), then with the scraps, I'd make a little dolly with a matching outfit :) If there was a smidge left over I'd make myself a zipper bag :D

ReplyDeleteReallt I am drooling over Notting Hill mostly right now, particularly the poppy colorway. But I also really like the Flutter in Orange, and from that I would think to make something like the Salutations Pattern Designed by Melissa Corry of Happy Quilting.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment, I'm planning to make a Tula Pink Space Dust, using the Birds and the Bees Fabric for the main pattern. But I want something a bit different for the background. So I'm excited to see the Constellations range (especially the dark blue Constellations) and the Architextures Scribble Notes in Navy. I think one of those would look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThere are so very many that I would just love to get my hands on!!! But after a lot of consideration, I believe I like the Flutter - Fat Quarter Bundle In Blue. It just speaks to me. Not real sure what I will make out of the winning fabrics - I will have to get it in my hands and see what I feel.
