Participated in an avalanche of on-line flickr bees.
Now I've sworn off bee's so I can focus on the 20 + WIPS {Works in Progress} I have going.

I really like Camille's Jellybean pattern :) Perfect for a jellyroll!
ReplyDeleteI like doing log cabin blocks with jelly rolls. Strip blocks would also be fun!
ReplyDeleteI love improvisational piecing! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love just random lengths and placement to create a fun pattern!
ReplyDeleteIt's not actually a jelly roll pattern but I want to make something like this http://www.redpepperquilts.com/2012/11/liberty-lifestyle-stile-collection_22.html and a jelly roll would work perfectly, less cutting! I've never used one before so I'd love to have a go! Thanks for the give away!
ReplyDeleteFab Giveaway! I think my favourite Jelly roll pattern is a lonestar quilt that I saw in a book recently. You need one Jelly roll to make 4 lonestar blocks. It's fab and I would certainly be making it if I win this giveaway!! Finger crossed :)
ReplyDeleteMy Drunk Zebra quilt is jelly roll friendly

I'd like to do a strip quilt. Simple and fun! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteOkay, the only thing I have done with a jelly roll, is the jelly roll race quilt. Sad but true. I would love to try something new, but I have only used one jelly roll in the past.
ReplyDeleteI love a jelly roll race quilt. Almost instant quilt top gratification.

ReplyDeleteI like just plain and easy stripy quilts - arranging the strips in a good colour order, adjusting the width of a few of them and then sewing together. Simple but looks so effective.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog :-)
So many reasons to love a jelly roll. I collect patterns that use just jelly rolls. My favorite use is to cut them into 2.5" squares and make Mondo bag.
ReplyDeleteI love using jelly roll pieces in bag making.
ReplyDeleteI would make a simple quilt - just to show off the fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteI really love using jelly rolls for paper piecing projects - usually the 2.5" is perfect :) Thanks for the chance!

ReplyDeletesowingstitches [at] gmail [dot] com
I love the look of strip quilts! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI just saw a tutorial by Quirky Granola Girl for a jelly roll quilt that would look great in Simply Color
ReplyDeleteI really like that idea of the sewathon with jelly rolls--where you just sew and sew and sew the strips together and at the end you have a cool looking quilt top. It is called the sewathon, isn't it? Now I'm getting nervous. Oh well, if it's not, it should be! :) jjenni20 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteOooh I am always going on and on about Pan and Nicky Lintott's books. I'm not sure which I prefer, but the book Jelly Roll Dreams is awesome and I'm going to make at least 3 quilts out of it!

ReplyDeleteflowerbubbleskids(at)gmail(dot)com
Super fast baby quilts for gifts!
ReplyDeleteThere's probably a name for it I don't know, but what I'd love to try is basically a wholecloth quilt in white or cream, with a bold stripe (or maybe 3-one at the top, one in the middle, and one at the bottom) that is just a row of squares made from the jelly roll. I saw something similar somewhere and it was really cute!
ReplyDeleteI love this one so much I made it twice http://www.modabakeshop.com/2010/11/awesome-lap-quilt.html#more. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to sew an apron! with all the different stripes and prints there is no way of seeing any stains :)

ReplyDeleteI have been loving the jelly roll race quilt, but with black squares in between the strips.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if there is a name for this pattern or not: Like window frames, 3 8 1/2 inc pieces sashed with 1/2 inch white between them & all around. Sew those blocks *opposite*, ie one with the bars up-down, next block with the bars going side-to-side. Rather like a rail fence, but with sashing.
ReplyDeleteI absolutley love this line too! Thank you for a great giveaway. I tend to make my own patterns, so haven't used any patterns for a jelly roll. This is what I did with my Sunkissed jelly roll though, my own pattern, http://mtnmommy2.blogspot.com/2011/10/sunshine-kisses-is-finished.html

ReplyDeleteI have never used one before but i'm excited to make something with it. Maybe a lapquilt.

I have never used a jelly roll before but always thought it would be good for just a simple strip quilt. It would also be great for a classic log cabin or indeed a wonky one! Thanks for the change to win such lovely fabric.

I like this herringbone here: http://www.rucraft.co.uk/sewing-fabric-and-quilting/downloads/jelly-roll-quilt-patterns/sense-of-direction-pdf-quilt-pattern#.UL0PR6XFVFQ I've been wanting to do a herringbone, and a JR looks like a great way to do it. Maybe not with Simply Color, though. I would have to think of something cooler for Simply Color. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried a jelly roll pattern, but I always think the ones by dairy of a quilter are so cute
ReplyDeleteI have never used a jelly roll, either, but I like strip quilts or a log cabin block. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOne of my fave Jelly Roll patterns is Jellystone Park - it twists and turns and looks way more complex than it really is!
ReplyDeleteand hi! I think we just started following each other on instagram! (I'm argyle24)
I have only used a couple of Jelly rolls. The most recent one I sewed the strips to solid white strip then cut them out in triangles with the 5 points together. Though the next thing I want to do a Jelly Roll race quilt just to try it.
ReplyDeleteNever used a jelly roll, but did something similar using rectangle blocks like offset subway tiles.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am making a strip twist quilt with a jelly roll - first jelly roll project, and I am liking it so far!
ReplyDeleteNever worked with jelly rolls before, but I'm sure I would like to make some fun bags with them.
ReplyDeleteThis one is my favorite:

Thanks for the chance!!!
i had such fun making a jellyroll race quilt, appliqueing big flowers on it, i think that rates as my fav jr pattern.
ReplyDeleteI believe the Grandma Mary's Five Patch pattern would work great with jelly rolls. The center white blocks may have to be resized, but a jelly roll would simplify the rest of the cutting. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
ReplyDeleteIt's this very Jelly Roll, Simply Colour by V and Co.
ReplyDeleteI have ordered two of them already and can't wait to have them in my hands. The machine is buckled up and ready for (chain) sewing! :-)
i think jelly rolls are perfect for log cabin quilts!
ReplyDeleteI love long cabin blocks made with Jelly Rolls!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I collect more JR than I use but the JR race was fun and the quilt was cute.
ReplyDeleteMissouri Star Quilt Company did a video of a jelly roll quilt that I love. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5Ixvjje310
ReplyDeleteAnd here's the link to the original pattern that Jenny adapted for her video tutorial: http://www.3dudesquilting.com/documents/LetsStripItMajesticMountainQuiltPDF.pdf
