August: A Lovely Year of Finishes ~ Goal Setting Party

A Lovely Year of Finishes
Have you seen the progress of all of the finishes in the 'A Lovely Year of Finishes' flickr group.

You are all awesome.

Melissa from Sew BitterSweet Designs and I have been loving seeing all your projects and have actually been finishing some of our own.

~~~
It's been interesting to look through my WIP's {works in progress} to find the right, for me, August #ALYoF project.
It's a funny month as I have time but I don't.
Summers are funny that way.
To be easy on myself I'm going to finish up my Nordika quilt-top.
I would rather spend my Monday working on these.  I guess I better go make some bacon instead.
I'm dying to see this finished so this will be easy!
~~~
What one item will you choose to do for August?

What is a project you ask?
That's up to you.
Make it crafty for one please.  Sewing or quilting.
It can be a few blocks, a quilt-top, finishing a quilt.
It can to put on the binding of that project you've had just about done for 1.5 years!
This is your goal.
:)

You have two requirements to be entered into the prizes this month.

1. Link-up {on this post} the first 7-days of the month
and
2. Link-up in the last 7-days of the month.

Add your blog post or flickr photo (with appropriate descriptions) to the linky party below.

Please grab a button or link back to Melissa and I so other people can join in the fun!

**Please note, the linky party is the same here and over at Melissa, so there is no need to enter twice **

For those unsure of how to link up go check out our Q&A Page for A Lovely Year of Finishes - there are instructions on how to link up from a blog and from Flickr.

  4. So far July was the first month I didn't finish my goal. My problem last month wasn't time but heat. With the first 3 weeks being mid 80's to 100's & pretty much around 90 everyday in my sewing room I didn't feel much like sewing. I did some here & there but not on my July goal but I did get quite a bit done on one of my epp projects in my nice cold room. ;)

    I can't wait to see your Nordika quilt top.

  5. I shall link up later this week, but I think I might have been a smidge over-ambitious!

  6. Thanks so much for hosting!
    Without your ALYOF I would have never completed my July project - and now hope to do the same for my August goal. Slowly my pile of tops is going down - nice!
