Where does your inspiration come from?

I have found some amazing artists and oh man have I learned a lot.

Being able to just flip through photos and images. . It's where I glean most of the items I want to try.  Most of the time it's 'ohhh I want to do this' or 'yep .. SO going to do this'.

I had one of those moments hit me while I was stripping.
You know with my strippers.

I was working through the blocks for the amazing Shelley, who is blog-less but she has an amazing flickr photos found here.

I created this block . . .

Stripper Block - curved star

From THIS mini quilt inspiration from the Bee a {modern} Swapper flickr group.

This is from Karen who blogs over at Laughter in Quilts

But here's the deal. . . she got her inspiration, of sorts, from here.

It's just funny how this quilting community works.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

  1. Lovely block! I'm usually inspired by things I see on Pinterest or flickr. And hugely inspired by things I see when I'm out and about. Everywhere I look, I see potential quilt patterns or color palettes!

  2. I gather inspiration from people like you and all the other fantastic quilters out there. Oh, and Pinterest and Flickr are amazing!

  3. Oh all over the place, often on my way to work, adverts, billboards, that sort of thing :o)

  4. I'm like Katy, I find it all over the place. My wonderful friends fill me with inspiration :)

I {love} comments. . .
Don't worry if you're comment doesn't show up - I approve all comments before they are published {it forces me to read them}
