Hurricane Sandy blocks

Most of the time I don't feel like I can finish a project.
So instead I help where I can.

Jennifer over at Knotted Thread wanted to help some families that were in the recent Hurricane Sandy on the east coast.

So, I sent these blocks to Hawaii. :)

Aren't they great.

We used this tutorial and the flickr group is found over here.

If you didn't get on the block making love, go check out the thread to donate binding. to finish up the 15-20 quilts being made with our help!

I adore this wonderful quilting community!

  1. Lovely blocks! I sent a bunch to a fb friend who is making quilts. Thus community always amazes me by how much we come together.

  4. Good on you for helping! The grey and yellow tones you have chosen look lovely together. It's nice to think someone in need will be snuggling under those blocks sometime soon!
